Financial Information
We do not ordinarily collect financial information such as credit card details. If you purchase services from our site or mobile app using a credit or debit card these details are passed directly to a trusted financial services company and are not stored on our servers.
Cookies
Like most websites we use cookies on our website. A cookie is a text file sent by a website to a web browser, and stored by the browser. (Applications may also use cookie-like equivalents). The text file is then sent back to the website each time the browser requests a page from the site. This enables the website to identify and track the web browser.
We may send a cookie which may be stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. We may use the information we obtain from the cookie in the administration of this website, to improve the website’s usability and for marketing purposes. We may also use that information to recognise your computer when you visit our website, and to personalise our website for you. Our advertisers and advertising networks (such as Google Adsense) may also send you cookies.
Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies. For example, in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookies by clicking “Tools”, “Internet Options”, “Privacy”, and selecting “Block all cookies” using the sliding selector.) This will, however, have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites, including our websites.
We use Google Analytics and Quantcast to analyse the use of our websites. Google Analytics and Quantcast generate statistical and other information about website use, by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website and is not user identifiable. Google and Quantcast will store this non user identifiable information. Google’s privacy policy is available at http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html and Quantcast’s policy is at http://www.quantcast.com/how-we-do-it/consumer-choice/privacy-policy/
For mobile applications (analytics) we use well know service providers such as Flurry. Flurry is owned by Yahoo! and has an information and opt-out page for end users here.
For our websites we use a range of high quality advertising providers such as Google Adsense, Media.net and SpotXchange. For our mobile apps we use mobile advertising service providers such as Chartboost, Vungle, NativeX and AdColony.
In general we carefully select our ad partners to choose leading providers, and avoid lesser known companies with poor or unknown reputations for privacy or malware.
We are committed to protecting and respecting the rights of all our users in these important areas.
